Xenical is the safest peroral product for the weight loss that gives a real effect and reduces a percentage of fat. This is a unique medicine the action of which is built on the reduction of the absorbed fats during eating.
An active ingredient Orlistat is responsible for the action. This ingredient works as a blocker of the gastro-intestinal lipases. This is a special type of enzymes that favors the uptake of fats. As fats are not split during eating and are not absorbed in the intestine, they are excreted. To restore the energy, the body uses the supplies of the fatty tissue.
Unlike many other peroral products for the treatment of obesity, Xenical does not affect the central nervous system and does not lower appetite. Due to this, the effect occurs slowly but the body uses the fatty tissue. It does not lose weight by means of the reduction of the muscle mass and water. Xenical just increases natural processes, and therefore the lost pounds will not return.
The active ingredients are excreted with stool intactly, and therefore they do not reach the systemic blood flow. It means that the side effects do not occur during the use of the drug.
But if you take Xenical, you should know that diet should be followed in order to lose weight. If fatty meals are consumed as usually, the drug will not cope with fat coming to the body, and part of it will be deposited.
Xenical works at the moment when you eat food rich of vegetable or animal fats. Therefore, the pills should be used before or during meals. One-time dose of Xenical is 120 mg. Three pills will be enough for a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in order to reduce the amount of the absorbed fats by more than 80%.
The pills must be taken when you consume fats. If for example, you have dinner and eat only proteins and cellulose, the use of the pill may be skipped.
The treatment takes a long period – at least 6 months. But the body weight will be reduced gradually by means of the fatty tissue. Due to good tolerance and low risk of the side effects, Xenical may be used at the age of 16.
- The uptake of fat-soluble vitamins is also reduced. Therefore, it is better to add vitamins in capsules during the treatment
- In case of the serious diseases of gall bladder when a production of bile is affected in the intestine, the use of Xenical is not recommended
- Do not take Xenical during the neoplasms in the gastro-intestinal tract
There are no cases of the overdose with Xenical. This is an absolutely safe medicine which does not normally cause side effects even during the use in high doses. Only in rare cases, patients may have side effects in the gastro-intestinal tract during insignificant increase of the daily dose: dyspepsia, diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting. Different skin allergic reaction may also happen.
In case of the development of these symptoms, it is necessary to stop the treatment for a while. Several days will be enough in order to completely restore and continue the therapy without discomfort.
